Nigerian Billionaire, Stabbed To Death By His 21 Years Old Girlfriend In London

Mayowa Ogunbayo, who lived a luxury lifestyle, was discovered by paramedics inside the west London home he shared with his fiancée.

Mayowa Ogunbayo was discovered by paramedics inside the west London home, which he shared with his fiancée, in the early hours of Friday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 3am, while a post-mortem examination found the cause of death was a stab wound to the heart.
Detectives have launched a murder investigation, but police say they are treating the 29-year-old’s death as “unexplained” at this time. The 29-year-old is said to have lived a luxury lifestyle after setting up an entertainment company.
It is understood they are trying to establish whether or not Mayowa’s wounds may have been self-inflicted, according to the Evening Standard. A 21-year-woman, who was at the scene when officers arrived, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, the Met Police said in a statement.
The force said she was taken to a north London police station and has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in mid-November. Mayowa, also known as Johnny John, grew up in Nigeria and is said to have lived a luxury lifestyle after setting up his own entertainment company.
In Facebook pictures, he can be seen driving in a car and posing with Italian striker Balotelli, who used to play for Liverpool and Manchester City. Friends have paid tribute to Mayowa, describing him as a “respectful gentleman”. Other images show him with ex-Newcastle United star Obafemi Martins.

“He was looking his whole life for a good lady to settle down with and make his wife. He wanted a family more than anything.”
It is thought that Mayowa proposed to his girlfriend earlier this year.
Another friend wrote on Facebook: “This is unbelievable when I hear that this my brother his no more. But God know everything it painful. It is thought that Mayowa proposed to his girlfriend earlier this year
“RIP BRO MAYOWA OGUNBAYO may your soul rest in peace.”
According to Mayowa’s Facebook page, he previously attended the University of Kent. Police were called to the flat in Lakeside Drive, Park Royal, by the London Ambulance Service shortly after 2am on Friday.
Officers arrived at the scene following reports that a man had been stabbed. In a statement to Mirror Online, the Met said: “Officers attended along with the LAS and a 29-year-old man was found suffering from stab injuries.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene at 02:57 hours. Next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place.
“At this time the death is being treated as unexplained. A post-mortem examination took place at Northwick Park Hospital mortuary on Friday, 20 October which gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the heart.
“A 21-year-woman who was at the scene when officers arrived has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She was taken to a north London police station and has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in mid-November.
“Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command took over the investigation on Wednesday, 25 October and are leading the investigation.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
