The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has said that he his frustrated at some Nigerians who are waging war against his anti-corruption crusade with stolen funds.
The president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity,Mr. Femi Adesina, has issued a statement today that the President spoke on Thursday in a meeting he had with the United States Secretary of State, John Kerry, on the margins of conference on climate change, COP22, in Marrakech, Morocco.
President Buhari said that corruption was fighting vigorously back before assuring Kerry that the anti-graft war would be won.
Buhari said the corrupt one’s had accumulated a huge amount of money and wealth illegally, which they are now using against the government on diverse fronts.
“But it is a war we are determined to win, and which we will win. People of goodwill are behind us, countries like America and many others are with us, and we will surely win,” he said.
He also added that such corrupt Nigerians have made his administration’s fight against corruption ‘tough and grueling.’
