Ghana won Nigeria in the recent Jollof competition after 24-year-old chef, Sika Mortoo, won her Nigerian counterpart to win the cooking competition.
The Onga Jollof Battle happened last weekend in Accra as two chefs from Ghana landed in Nigeria in the battle to find out which country can prepare the best Jollof rice.
Jollof rice is a popular West African meal prepared with rice, tomato sauce and other spicy ingredients.
The meal is popular among countries like Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Cameroon.
Ghana and Nigerians always fight over the top position in terms of which country Jollof rice is the best.
All three Judges tastes both plates of Jollof rice, to vote in favour of Ghana´s.
The final results was Ghana jollof 95% and Nigeria jollof which chef Turay prepared score 75%.
The three judges were from Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa all vote in favour of Ghana jollof.
Winner of the competition, Sika Mortoo, won cash prize of $2000. While her Nigeria counterpart, Chef Turay, took home $1000.
