Manchester city boss, Pep Guardiola has revealed to friends that he intends to stay at Manchester City notwithstanding the club’s 2-year ban from the Champions League.
Except City revoke the ban imposed by Uefa on Friday, they will not participate in European football until 2022 after this season.
Guardiola’s contract will be due to expire in 2021. He will soon be speaking about the topic for the first time on Wednesday.
His contract will have a break clause at the end of this season and it has been said that he would activate it should City fail to win their appeal which they will tender to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in few days.
But the 49-year-old has said he will not be doing that and will stay committed to the club.
Guardiola might talk about the issue after Wednesday’s rearranged Premier League game against West Ham.
In a strange situation, neither side has played since the previous game was postponed on 9 February due to bad weather.
